🧠 Pro Tip: Match Your Hook to Your Target Shark.
Don’t go overkill on hook size. For blacktip and sandbar sharks in the 3–5 ft range, a 9/0 or 10/0 inline circle hook works best and keeps bait presentation clean. Save those 12/0 or larger hooks for big bull, hammerhead, or tiger sharks over 6 feet.
✅ The goal is a solid jaw hookup—not just a big hook. Too large a hook can actually miss smaller sharks or affect your bait’s action. Know your target, and size your hook accordingly!

Recommended Use:
Pair with 7–10 oz Sputnik or pyramid sinkers. Ideal for surf rod setups 12' and up with a minimum 50 lb braid or mono mainline.

Want to hit long distances with big baits? Use our bait holders with a Sputnik Special Clip Sinker and tightly wrap your bait with elastic thread before casting to keep the profile aerodynamic.
FMJ Shark Rigs & Traces
Please use freshwater to rinse it thoroughly after each use.
This will help remove any salt and sand that may have accumulated on your hooks, swivels and snaps while helping you prolong their use.
Saltwater is highly corrosive (Aqueous corrosion), it will quickly damage the sharpness of some hooks, and it will create a build up of corrosion on swivels which can hinder their operational purpose.
Allow them to dry before storing them away in a dry place.
