This rig is ideal for small to mid-size sharks up to ~6 feet, such as blacktip, bonnethead, juvenile bull, or spinner sharks. For larger sharks, consider upgrading to a full cable rig.

❓Can I cast this rig from the beach?

Yes. It’s designed for long-distance casting. Use a heavy rod rated for 6–10 oz and pair it with a Sputnik sinker to prevent rolling in the surf.

❓Is this rig reusable?

Yes, if rinsed with fresh water and checked for damage. We recommend replacing the mono section after multiple catches or abrasions.
Please use fresh water to rinse it thoroughly after each use.

This will help remove any salt and sand that may have accumulated on your hooks, swivels, and snaps while helping you prolong their use.

Saltwater is highly corrosive (Aqueous corrosion), it will quickly damage the sharpness of some hooks, and it will create a build up of corrosion on swivels which can hinder their operational purpose.
